Preparations are in full swing. A number of Christian organizations such as Misereor and Bread for the World will also be on site, observing the negotiations and contributing the voices of civil society. This is a crucial moment. Together with many Christians around the world, we are campaigning for more climate justice and are praying for the success of the conference and the joint intensified efforts of the global community with Pope Francis&#8217; <g id=\"gid_1\">&#8220;A <g id=\"gid_2\">Prayer for our Earth<\/g>&#8221; <\/g>. It can be found in the final part of the encyclical Laudato si&#8217; and is expressly formulated as a prayer for all and can be used ecumenically.     <\/p>\n<p>Almighty God,<br \/>\nyou who are present in the vastness of the universe<br \/>\nand in the smallest of your creatures,<br \/>\nwho embraces all that exists,<br \/>\nwith your tenderness,<br \/>\npour into us the power of your love,<br \/>\nso that we may guard life and beauty.<br \/>\nFlood us with peace,<br \/>\nso that we may live as brothers and sisters<br \/>\nand harm no one.<br \/>\nGod of the poor,<br \/>\nhelp us to save the abandoned and forgotten of this earth,<br \/>\nwho are so precious in your eyes.<br \/>\nHeal our lives,<br \/>\nso that we may be protectors of the world and not robbers,<br \/>\nso that we may sow beauty and not contamination and destruction.<br \/>\nTouch the hearts of those<br \/>\nwho seek only profit<br \/>\nat the expense of the poor and the earth.<br \/>\nTeach us to discover<br \/>\nthe value of all things<br \/>\nand to look at them with admiration;<br \/>\nto recognize that we are deeply connected with all creatures<br \/>\non our way to your infinite light.<br \/>\nThank you for being with us every day.<br \/>\nPlease encourage us in our fight<br \/>\nfor justice, love and peace.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The World Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Bel\u00e9m, Brazil, will take place from November 10 &#8211; 21.
