On February 7, 2026, we celebrated the completion and adoption of the new Rule of Life with all the sisters of the South African Province. The celebration was embedded in the 800th anniversary of the Transitus of St. Francis. At the end of his life, St. Francis said: I have done what is mine, may Christ teach you what is yours.
\nWith this in mind, the focus was first of all on listening to God’s call, which we sought and found in Francis, in the history of our congregation and in the current experience of the province. In various impulses and a lively exchange that followed, great joy arose.
\nIn the afternoon, we became aware of the importance of the Rule of Life and accepted the new Rule of Life in the process of renewing our profession. <\/p>\n
