Easter greeting

Every year during Holy Week and Easter, we celebrate Jesus’ passage through suffering and death to resurrection and the fruitfulness that this passage brings for us and for the whole world. The picture from the baroque church here in Sießen vividly shows us this fertility. The suffering Jesus does not hang on a cross, but on a vine. Below it is the chalice, a reminder that in every Eucharistic celebration this suffering, death and resurrection takes place anew in our midst. In this the Lord nourishes and waters us so that we too can devote ourselves to HIS kingdom. In this way, our life, suffering and death and our growth into the ‘new life in Christ’ will also be fruitful for the whole world.

We wish everyone a happy Easter experience!
