Our last excursion day took us to Bloemfontein, the capital of the Freestate.
First we visited Naval Hill with its Nelson Mandela statue. From there you have a great view over the city. In the adjoining animal park we saw wildebeest and ostriches.
From there, we went to St. Joseph, one of our convents in Bloemfontein, and to the kindergarten attached to it.
Of course, we then went shopping – after all, you want to take a souvenir home with you. On the way back, we visited the convent and kindergarten in Bothsabelo.
The kindergartens are a focal point of our South African Sisters’ work.
