Responsibility for creation

Since the 1980s, a group of German sisters have come together to keep the cause of justice, peace and the integrity of creation alive among their fellow sisters. There are now initiatives in all our Provinces to promote a holistic ecology. The so-called Laudato Si’ groups also work together internationally, e.g. in creating a liturgical guide for the annual Laudato Si’ Season of Creation that is adapted to our needs. We see our commitment as an ongoing learning process that demands ever more far-reaching consequences in our thoughts and actions.

Following the example of the Brazilian Province, the German and South African Provinces are currently also in the process of implementing alternative energy generation for their Provincial seats.
