Pastoral means pastoral care, and this takes many forms in catechesis, liturgical services, church music, pastoral care at school, at the university, in hospital, in prison, at the Fazenda da Esperança … Sisters visit families, poor and old people to help them in their need, they offer retreats and spiritual guidance, train people for catechesis and liturgical services and are often enough simply there when someone needs a sympathetic ear.
