Bringing Living History into the Present

To mark the 800th anniversary of the death of Francis of Assisi, the Franciscan Sisters in South Africa are using creative theatrical performances to help the local population learn about the saint’s life. With the support of the Franciscan family and local priests, the initiative translates his message into the modern daily life of the communities.
