Arts and crafts

Nurturing artistic talent is in the DNA of our congregation. Artists such as Sr. M. Innocentia Hummel and Sr. M. Sigmunda May are known to many people. In addition, there were and are many sisters who contribute their gifts in the fine arts, in the musical or literary field and enrich community life as well as the liturgy.

In the German Province, the parament workshop and the various exhibition areas (including the permanent exhibition of the original work of Sr. M. Innocentia Hummel in the so-called Hummelsaal) should be mentioned, in the South African Province the artist Sr. M. Lucina Endreß and the candle workshop of Sr. M. Mechthilde Faist and in the Brazilian Province the small handicraft initiatives of Sr. M. Rita de Cássia Santana and other sisters.
